Last week we had a Mercy Team visit from a church in the US, First Baptist Church, Carrollton. They went to different schools in the neighborhood of our dental clinic and kept the kids occupied at 5 different bases; teaching basic oral health, music, arts/crafts, physical education and evangelism. Over a period of 4 days they interacted with about 2200 kids.
For your information: A Mercy Team is a group of about 10 that comes to serve short term (1-2 weeks) alongside our crew. They can have a specific focus like medical, dental or agriculture, or they can help out with whatever is needed. Our dream is to see a Mercy Team from Norway on board the ship... Dag
