UN has since 1990 presented an annual report with the Human Development Index which looks at countries' standard of living. The 2009 index has recently been published and a few of the rankings are interesting for a Norwegian in Benin to observe:
Norway ranks as nr.1.
Benin ranks as nr.161 out of a total of 182.According to this, Norwegians should be a content, satisfied and happy people. Reading Norwegian newspapers doesn't give me that impression though. Hmmm... I wonder why?
